Neşe Doster

Author, Academician



Doster was born in Kars. She completed her primary and secondary education in Kars. Later she graduated from the Turkish Lan​guage and Literature Department of the Literature Faculty of Atatürk University. She worked at educational institutions as teacher and administrator, like director of library and culture. In 1995, she won the first prize of the nationwide Atatürk Competition by the Ministry of Education. She studied female issues and education in many countries and gave speeches.

She teaches at universities on History of Turkish Revolution, History of Theater and History of Women. She writes articles at several newspapers like Gercek Gündem. Currently, she teaches at the Müjdat Gezen Art Center on History of Theater, on Writing and Communication.

She has published 11 books:
Ögretmenin Günlügü, Kemalizm’de ve Kemalizm Sonrasinda Türk Kadini, Kadinlara Dair Akilda Kalanlar, Kars Memleketim Benim, Cilenin Cografyasi Yok, Yarim Kalan Öykü, Yüregim Kars’ta Kaldi, Halep’ten Istanbul’a Celile, Gitme Dönmezsin Dedi Annem!, Atatürk’e Hasret Mürekkepli Mektuplar, Gurbetten Kars’a Gönül Köprüsü.
